SO this Tree of Life shoot was…amazing!
In December 2015, I had the pleasure of shooting one of Tree of Life’s wonderful summer campaigns with a talented bunch of creative people. We ventured into a hidden forest near Tamarama beach, and set up camp at the base of a large tree trunk. We wandered through the bright green foliage and tip-toed past a trickling waterfall, all the while capturing amazing shots of the new ‘Daydreams’ collection. I must admit, it was a little nerve-racking for me, as I’m not an experienced model. I’ve only really done a few shoots here and there. HOWEVER, the photographers and stylist really made me feel at home and after a few warm up shots, we captured some amazing moments.
What I really loved about this shoot was how Tree of Life chose me, an Indian girl to represent their collection. It made it that much more meaningful when I could adorn myself in colourful bindis and heavy bangles because I felt like I was doing a great job at showing off how beautiful Indian culture really is. It felt really good representing a cultural group that are often overlooked when it comes to art and culture.
